Her Italian surname came from her immigrant grandad. She was innate 4 November, 1963 in the small town of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute to musical parents - Victor played a guitar and Hilda sang. Lena sang from either either an early age & was banned from a local talent competitions for universally winning.

Her story really began while promoter Tommy Scott, on holiday around Rothesay, heard her singing in the personal band. Her large break come by owning an TV appearance of Hughie Green’s Opportunity Knocks late in 1973 - she made her 1st recording “Ma, He’s Making Eyes At Me� in the charted January. It reached total eight in the British chart, and she became a spring chicken to pop up in “Top of the Pops�.

Too when performing around England she sang with Frank Sinatra and Lucille Ball in a Hollywood charity show. She so guested on the Me TV’s Carrol Burnett Show, sharing a dressing room sustaining Liza Minnelli. In the as punishment season she sang tons in the world, possibly in the White House, and appeared in British TV many days.

All a same, the constant click coverage had to her, & per prevent of 1979 she had succumbed to anorexia nervosa - a complaint that would go to againside & again in coming decades. She tried to lead other of the normal life, & around 1989 married Peter Wiltshire. However a marriage merely lasted Xviii months, so her mother committed suicide.

Friends & personal tried to rescue her, however to there are no service. She died 1 October 1999.
